THEHEYDAY.COM is a site for Bahá'í youth or young at heart and their friends.
An initiative of the National Youth Committee of the Bahá'ís of Australia, it is a site with a difference: It's a webmag, search engine, news source, shop, discussion forum, study and resource centre and more, all in one snazzy and funky space.
It is hoped that Bahá'í youth and their friends, or any one with an interest in the Bahá'í Faith, can make this their homepage and meeting place.
Mission Statement
To act as a cultural hub for the Bahá'í youth and their friends, helping foster a culture of service, growth, communication, encouragement, scholarship, creativity, humour, fellowship and initiative.
Inspiration
THEHEYDAY.COM is an evolution and hybrid of Heydayonline , the previous Australian Bahá'í youth website, and Heyday , the Australian Bahá'í youth newsletter. As such it owes its genesis not just to this exciting revamp but to all the youth who worked on making those previous projects happen.
The name is inspired by a powerful passage from the writings of Bahá'u'lláh referring to the period of youth:
"Blessed is he who in the prime of his youth and the heyday of his life will arise to serve the Cause of the Lord of the beginning and of the end, and adorn his heart with His love. The manifestation of such a grace is greater than the creation of the heavens and of the earth."
GO ON!
Use this site. Make it yours. Feel free to just read. But we'd love you to interact, write and contribute. You know you want to!
