"Service in love for mankind is unity with God."

- Abdu'l-Bahá

Any task completed in the right spirit, for the betterment of humanity, whether it be on an individual or community level, is service. It is how we lead a purposeful, transformative and happy life. A life and culture of creative service should be the goal of all Bahá'í youth.

There are always services to be rendered in every community and locality in the world. One thing the world needs more of is service! The Local Spiritual Assembly of your Bahá'í community is a great starting point for ideas, service opportunities and support. There are also avenues of service provided by NGO's, Councils and community groups.

Common lines of service by Bahá'ís at a grassroots level to their communities all over the world are devotional meetings, study circles and spiritual education for children - all of which aim to empower people and communities to lead purposeful.

In the end, service is an individual initiative. In the Bahá'í Faith service is not the work of clergy or institutions. Service is the personal responsibility of every human being.

This site provides information about Youth Year of Service and service opportunities. Bahá'í youth should who wish to find avenues for service can also contact the Youth Desk.

- Bahá'u'lláh

" Service to the friends is service to the Kingdom of God, and consideration shown to the poor is one of the greatest teachings of God".
- Abdu'l-Bahá

"The day of service is now come... Thou must show forth that which will ensure the peace and the well-being of the miserable and the downtrodden."
