You can make your mark by contributing to this site in many ways:

Writing

Fancy yourself as a bit of a literary genius? Working your way towards professorship emeritus in journalism or creative writing? Or are you such a literary dunce that you can't put three words together without a misspell? If the answer is yes to either of these questions, WE WANT YOU! It doesn't matter how you write, as long as you do it. There's always extensive editing as a Plan B! Go on, fire away those creative neurons - remember it's you that makes this site!

You can submit, or help with, any of the following:

  1. Community Coverage articles (Youth Nooz - a short report and photo of an event in your community, just a couple of paragraphs). .
  2. Feature Articles (HD Features - 500-1000 words and photos featuring a letter, person/interview or event related to the Bahá'í Faith or its principles)
  3. Creative Writing (Writer's Room - short story, poetry, plays, creative writing of any sort).
  4. Essays (on anything with a Bahá'í scholarship approach).
  5. Commentary (pose it to Mr -Ed for response or elaboration, or write up a column for the Buzz).
  6. Youth Year of Service stories - email them to the editor.
  7. Forums (featuring various topics - check them out and interact!)

Visual Arts

Well for this one, maybe you have some talent - or not, you can test it on us anyway! Whether it's painting, multimedia, photography, cartography or anything ending with -phy, WE WANT YOU!

You can help with any of the following:

  1. Cartoons (required for Mr -Ed and ACE! Commentaries and other columns).
  2. Photography (for stories covered by our journalists).
  3. Painting, Photography and Graphic art inspired by Bahá'í themes or principles (submit for viewing with descriptions of title, inspiration, etc. for the Arts Page).

Music

If you are producing music related to, or inspired by, Bahá'í themes, principles or Writings, promote it on THEHEYDAY.COM's Music Page. We give information, play samples, even cover your music with feature articles.

Provide recording/purchase details, samples, media packs and info to our editor.

If you are interested in the production of music or multimedia, including production of radio spots or recording sound bites for the site from Bahá'í youth events, please contact us.
