Mana

Mana is a Baha'i music and cultural performance group based in Sydney, Australia. The members of Mana are predominately youth, most of them still attending high school, and though they are all residents of Sydney, their roots are traced back to Samoa, Tonga and the Cook Islands.

This diversity is present in the soulful voices of its members, and is mirrored in their performances and music, which is an invigorating blend of various Polynesian dances, rhythms and sounds fused with pop. The name Mana means "the Almighty" or "the Powerful" in most Polynesian languages.

To date, Mana has released 2 albums: "Reflections on the Life of the Spirit" and "Arising to Serve". All lyrics have been taken from the Baha'i Writings found in the sequence of courses known as Ruhi.

All members of Mana and the individuals involved in the initiative are working on a completely voluntary basis and all profits from the albums are channeled into the recording of subsequent albums so that eventually there will be one CD for each Ruhi book.

Devon Gundry

mana

"At the top of my Lungs", is a crystalline acoustic guitar/vocal collection of gorgeous music, vocal harmonies, and pop sensibility song writing - all set to the spiritual words from Bahai writings. The lyrics are straight out of a passion for Gundry's spiritual life - universal poetic truths from his heart. Musically, the clean and perfectly produced bare dedication is performed with one can only describe as an eternal sincerity and love.

Klare Kuolga

mana

"Bend down a little" is the result of a two year partnership between Klare Kuolga and Colin Webber, a partnership of work, trust, faith, more work and blessings from above. It reflects our thoughts, beliefs and hopes for the future of our planet. We hope that you enjoy it and the songs will bring you joy and laughter as well as some thought and inspiration.

The songs on this album have been written with a unique mixture of languages, sounds and influences from the Western Highlands region of Papua New Guinea blended together into a contemporary setting.

The album has been musically connected with a melanesion and Pacific flavour with its inclusion of traditional music recorded in July last year of the Palga tribe - her father's people.

These songs on this album carry a message to influence the listener to continue on their own spiritual path.
